Go go go, rush rush rush…it’s that time of year again.  If we’re being honest, it’s that “time” of year all year for many of us. Our lives are defined by going and doing.  We assess ourselves in how busy we are and how productive we have been.  Yet as we look one last time at David’s journey to the throne, we see a very different mindset than many of us have today.  Even when the path is wide open, even when the tracks are clear to rush ahead, David yields to God’s timing and God’s pace.  Perhaps we can all learn something from David, specifically in the hustle and bustle of this Christmas season.
