Have you ever fallen asleep on the beach?  Most of us have at some point.  Did anyone get upset with you?  When you’re with family or friends hanging out at the beach, there may be a level of disappointment if you fall asleep rather than engaging in the fun and conversation.  The disciples had a similar problem with Jesus in Mark 4.  They didn’t care for it too much when Jesus fell asleep.  There are many times when we also feel like God is sleeping and not paying attention to us.  As we explore the story of Jesus calming the story, let’s learn how to handle the moments when God seems silent.
