When life gets hard, we all want to know that what we are going through is not normal…that there’s a reason we feel uncomfortable.  We want to be reassured that what we are going through is a strange happenstance and it will pass.  We want to know that normalcy and comfort will return soon.  Unfortunately, that is not the message Peter brings us.  Instead, Peter says that it is not strange…it is not unusual if we find ourselves suffering for Christ.  And where do we go with that kind of message today…
