He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
I hope you all had an amazing Resurrection Sunday as we worshipped our Risen Lord and Savior! Isn’t it amazing to think about God’s whole story of redemption, which started in Genesis chapter 3 when mankind willingly walked away from God, culminating on the cross! Throughout all of scripture, we see God working to bring us back to Him. He didn’t need to…but He wanted to! The love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness that flow from the cross is overwhelming! And at the empty tomb, our hope is solicited!
As we move forward from the empty tomb, I am excited to launch into our new series as a church family! We will be starting a study through the book of James. I have always enjoyed James as an extremely practical book that teaches us many important lessons about living for God. I hope you’ll join us as we explore these important life lessons over the next ten weeks.
And as everything claims down after a busy Easter holiday, make sure to check out some of the big events coming up in the next few weeks…
- The Dwelling Place this Wednesday
- Women’s Dinner on Saturday, April 29th (RSVP required)
- Annual Chicken BBQ on May 13th
- Go Beyond Week of Service, May 13-21, more details to come!
In the midst of everything you are doing this week, keep your eyes set on Christ! Everything breath we take is a gift from Him! Let’s live in response to the hope we have in Christ!
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Jan
