When was the last time you were at the circus?  What did you see?  Lions doing tricks? Elephants balancing?  Bears on bikes?  It’s pretty impressive what these amazing creatures have learned to do!  James tells us that “all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed my man, but no man can tame the tongue” (James 3:7-8).  While we might be able to teach a bear to ride a bicycle, we can’t figure out how to control something as small and “harmless” as our own tongues!  As we continue in our exploration of the Book of James, we discover 6 important lessons about our tongues and the starting point to controlling them.
